Our school program is designed to run at any elementary school. Each class grades Kindergarten through 5 will recieve a weekly technology lesson lasting from 30 minutes to 1 hour. We provide a highly trained instructor and course material for them to cover over the course of the year. Each class can expect to have ~35 class sessions before the end of the year. The content has been designed by industry experts in both technology and education to be developmentally appropriate and customizable for the needs of your school.

Generally we have 3 different programs schools may buy into:

• IDEAL- Perfect for schools getting started with technology education and/or want to focus on more basic and creative computer skills. This program does NOT have robotics.

• CORE- Perfect for schools transitioning into a more STEM focused curriculum but are not quite ready to invest (or unable to afford) the nessissary equipment that it calls for. Every grade level is exposed to 4 weeks of robotics.

• STEM- Great for schools that want to invest heavily into getting their students on top of the latest in technology. This requires the school to not only invest in our program, but also the robotics equipment to support it. Each grade level will have anywhere between 6-12 weeks of dedicated robotics experience.

We will customize the program to fit your school's specific needs. If you want a more robotics focused program, we will make that happen!

Our program's price structure is not a one size fits all solution. We charge based on what type of program the school purchases (IDEAL, CORE, or STEM) and how many instructional days per week we are required to be on campus to cover our classes. 

We limit the number of classes we teach each day to 5-6 to ensure every class can get the appropriate amount of class time to cover each topic (30 minutes to 1 hour). Ideally the schedule is set from week to week and we teach the same group of students for the entire school year. We try to avoid single semester programs.

Our instructors are vetted to have classroom expereince and knowledgeable with technology. Everyone we hire goes through a multi week training period and regulary attends professional development sessions to stay on top of the latest trends in technology. Most of our instructors have backgrounds in IT, education, or both.

We will be on campus for howevery many days is needed to get the job done each week. On average, we teach 5-6 rooms per days. If you have a smaller school we can attend for just a couple days. If your school is larger, we can be there all 5 days or send multiple instructors if it is a REALLY big school.

We customize our SPED classes to fit the needs of the students. Sometimes students can be main streamed during this time with no issue, other students may need more support and altered curriculum. We will handle their needs!

Additionally, our instructors are experienced with different devices and know how to configue various accessibility features on each students device to optimize their learning experience.

Our curriculum is already designed and set for the entire school year before the school even commits to our program. Naturally, we want to work with each teacher to make sure what we are planning meets the needs of their students so we are flexible. Each teacher and administrator will recieve a curriculum summary at the begining of the year to review and offer feedback on. Additionally, we send out monthly emails directly to teachers with upcoming lessons. Finally, we also have seasonal news letters shared with administrators, teachers, and (at the schools discresstion) directly with parents.

Our communication systems are a top priority at Computerwisekids. We never want what we plan and teach to be a suprise to anyone and welcome any and all feedback and colaboration.

YES! Our company originally started out serving just Kindergarten and students in the year before Kindergarten. We have spent a lot of time optimizing our program for our youngest learners to help introduce them at a very young age to the complexities of technology. We created our custom in house software- the Kinder Player- to help teach basic technology skills to these age groups. All of our lessons are designed to be pre-reader friendly.

NO, we are very flexible. Our instructors are able to come room to room to provide the lessons. We just ask that all students have their own device and where ever we end up teaching, we have access to internet and a projector.

YES! It is our commitment to implementing any technology your school has. We are flexible enough to work with any device situation (Computer labs, Macs, PCs, Chromebooks, iPads, etc) We just ask that every student has access to a personal device.

Robotics is our specialty, so as long as your school purchases the right type of program, we will customize a curriculum to fit the needs of any technology you want to use with your students.
